FAQ

  • I work with adults (18+) across Ontario. If you're in the Thunder Bay area, you can choose in-person or virtual sessions. If you live elsewhere in the province, sessions are offered virtually.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes and the fee is $225 per session. While OHIP doesn’t cover psychological services, many extended health benefit plans provide partial or full coverage. I’ll provide a receipt you can submit for reimbursement.

I do not offer direct billing, so payment is made at the time of each session and you submit your receipts to your insurer for reimbursement.

Fees are reviewed annually, and any changes will be communicated in advance.

  • Many benefit plans include coverage for services provided by a registered psychologist. Because plans vary, it’s best to check directly with your provider about the details of your coverage. Receipts can also be used for income tax purposes as a medical expense.

  • Payment is made at the time of each session. I accept credit card and e-transfer, and you’ll receive a receipt once payment is processed.

  • Life happens, and sometimes you may need to reschedule. I ask for 24 hours’ notice when cancelling or changing an appointment so that the time can be offered to someone else.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, are billed at the full session fee. Exceptions can be made in emergencies.

  • Starting therapy can feel like a big step. In our first session, I’ll walk you through how therapy works, including privacy and what you can expect from me. We’ll spend most of the session talking about what brings you in, any relevant background, and what you hope to get out of therapy. I’ll answer questions along the way, and together we’ll begin clarifying your goals and how therapy might support you moving forward.

  • Everything you share in therapy is private and treated with care. Your information is kept confidential, with a few exceptions required by law to ensure safety and protection. These situations are rare, and we will review them together in your first session so you know exactly what to expect.
